After the Storm
Oil on linen panel. 12 hours. January 2012.
This was my first landscape attempt.  I received a first-place excellence award for it in my age category.

This is during the under painting stage.

Meadow B.

Charcoal and white chalk on cream paper.
10 hours.  Completed January 2012.(In this picture the dandelion is unfinished; I'll post a finished picture soon.)

I discovered the photograph of this girl on a magazine cover taken on her 16th birthday.

Two unfinished paintings begun in January 2012. . .
This is the outline, using thinned oil paint, to later help me accurately paint the still life.

A picture of the still life.

Oranges. Oil on canvas. Unfinished.

Grandma. Charcoal and white chalk on cream paper.
Finished October 2011.
27 hours.

Recaptured from a high school graduation photograph.

In progress. . .

Untitled. Charcoal on orange tinted paper. Unfinished. I worked on this for 8 hours.

Live model exercise.

Still Life of Vase and Rose. Oil on  linen. Finished December 2010.
26 hours.
I loved working on the vase in this painting. . . Do you see the aqua reflection from the box on the bottom third of the vase?

Yellow Rose. Oil on linen panel. November 2010.  8 hours.

This was a real live rose I set up as a still life; something I don't usually do because fresh flowers tend to wilt before I'm even done mixing my paint.
The time crunch turned out to be a good thing because it didn't allow me time to over-perfectionize it.

Study of Hands and Drapery

Graphite pencil and white chalk on light brown paper. Finished in 2008. 16 hours.
I received an excellence award for this drawing. This piece hung on display in the Fine Arts Institute gallery for a month.

Grandpa in the Navy
Graphite pencil on white paper. 2009. 17 hours.
