Still Life of Vase and Rose. Oil on  linen. Finished December 2010.
26 hours.
I loved working on the vase in this painting. . . Do you see the aqua reflection from the box on the bottom third of the vase?

Yellow Rose. Oil on linen panel. November 2010.  8 hours.

This was a real live rose I set up as a still life; something I don't usually do because fresh flowers tend to wilt before I'm even done mixing my paint.
The time crunch turned out to be a good thing because it didn't allow me time to over-perfectionize it.
