 Summer Art Camp
This is a three day summer art camp designed for students new to classical art.  Students will be introduced to art terms and tools while being taught the foundation to drawing realistic, well-proportioned, works of art.  All drawings will be done from observing a simple still life, focusing on accurately representing the shapes, proportions, form shadows, cast shadows, highlights, and direction of the light source.  Students will first do several drawing exercises to help them think artistically. Next, I will demonstrate before they begin work on the still life.  I will visit each individual student while they work on their drawing to encourage them, answer questions, and offer helpful critique.  Drawings will be done using a range of graphite pencils, white chalk, and kneaded erasers on white and colored paper.
